Art Through Struggle Exhibit: Ricardo Caté (Santo Domingo)

March 17, 2018 - January 4, 2019

Ricardo Caté of Santo Domingo Pueblo will feature his newest work tackling current events, presenting the effect and influence his comedic cartoons have had on Native communities, starting with his experiences with the Dakota Access Pipeline, and carrying through to today’s news headlines. South Gallery Exhibit Opening: A Promise Fulfilled: The Life and Legacy of Bob Chavez

Bob Chavez (1915-2003) is a self-taught artist from the Pueblo of Cochiti. He dedicated his life to teaching and inspiring students passing thru St. Catherine’s Indian School in Santa Fe. This exhibit features not only his own artwork but the work and experiences of the students that passed through his realm of influence. Exhibit runs through Dec. 2. Free with museum admission.

Artists Circle Gallery Exhibit Opening with Levon Loncassion: Zuni Ceratops and Anomalous Illusions

April 20 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join Levon Loncassion for the opening of his exhibit, “Zuni Ceratops and Anomalous Illusions.” Loncassion is an award-winning artist from Zuni Pueblo, with works at Mesa Verde National Park’s visitor center and the Heard Museum. A former wildland firefighter, his art is heavily influenced by nature, along with Zuni culture, and artists from Pueblos to Picasso. Exhibit runs through July 15, 2018. Free with museum admission.
