Art Through Struggle Exhibit: Ricardo Caté (Santo Domingo)

Ricardo Caté of Santo Domingo Pueblo will feature his newest work tackling current events, presenting the effect and influence his comedic cartoons have had on Native communities, starting with his experiences with the Dakota Access Pipeline, and carrying through to today’s news headlines. Exhibit runs through Jan. 4, 2019. Free with museum admission.

Join Acoma artist Michelle Lowden for the opening of her exhibit, “Turquoise Kaleidoscope.” Lowden’s theme pays tribute to Nature’s geometry, her cycle, water’s nourishment, and blends symbols that deepen the relationship between man and Nature, reflecting Nature’s soul and giving her the respect she deserves.
