Seasons of Growth Gardening Series – Preservation of Traditional Foods

Join us in the Resilience Garden this month as we conduct a special two-day Seasons of Growth. Participants on Saturday evening can see the preparation of the outdoor oven, or horno, for the overnight roasting of harvested corn, and learn about the entire process. Sunday morning, participants will extract the roasted corn from the horno, and learn more about the preservation and storage process. Attend one or both parts. Saturday’s section is 5–7 pm, and Sunday’s section will start at the usual time of 9 am.
