Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration

Indigenous Peoples’ Day commemorates the continent’s history as told by those who trace their heritage in this land to time immemorial. At the IPCC, everyone is invited to come experience age-old traditions and look forward to Native communities’ bright future with the students of the Native American Community Academy (NACA). Youth of all ages who study at NACA have collaborated to express what it means to be Indigenous in their eyes and are excited to present their perspective to the community through story, song, and dance at this day-long celebration in the courtyard. 

  • 9 am: American Indian Development Associates Inc. Opening Remarks
  • 10 am: Native American Community Academ y(NACA) Student Presentations
  • 12 pm: Bird Dancers (San Felipe)
  • 1 pm: Radical Poets Presentation
  • 1:30 pm: Native American Community Academy (NACA) Student Presentations
  • 2:30 pm: Sweet Nations Sisterhood Jingle Dress Dancers
  • 3 pm: Bird Dancers (San Felipe)
  • 4 pm: Pre-Columbian Seeds Dry/Wet Preservation Demos Presented by the IPCC Education Dept.

Free with museum admission.
