The Oak Canyon Dance Group is a friendly, family oriented dance organization.  We share our traditional cultural entertainment with the general public.  We are from the beautiful Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico.  Our home is nestled in the base of the beautiful Jemez Mountains.

The Oak Canyon Dance Group is open to the public for entertainment.  We are happy to get every opportunity we may come across to share our traditional cultural entertainment.

The dances we perform are varied from the different seasons of the year.  The buffalo dance is a symbol of winter activities and celebrates an upcoming and a good hunt.  The shield dance symbolizes the fight between two different Native American cultures, fighting for food, land and property.  The eagle dance symbolizes good health and caring, as well as spiritual healing.  It also helps keep the eagle as our messenger to our spirits in the skies above.
